Has anybody added a manual entry in the tax planner to work around the senior bonus deduction not working?

There are two areas in the tax planner I can think of to include various credits and I don't know which one would make sense for your question: First one is in Adjustments > Other Adjustments field. And the other is in Other Tax, Credits > Credits field. I have made "User Entered" entries in those fields for various credits I may qualify for such as the change in standard deduction, education, child tax credit etc. My guess is that the end result would be the same.

I figured it out. We're both over 65, filing MFJ with AGI < 150,000. I unchecked the boxes for over 65 and added enough in the "MIsc Deductions (No Limit)" field so the total itemized deduction = 46700. I'll have to revise that adjustment downward as other transactions occur, to keep the total at 46700.
