First off, bonds dont have ticker symbols, only cusips.

Second, bonds are updated daily when you download from your broker in osu. Do you download from your broker?

So then what type of bonds are you talking about? Are these corporate bonds, treasuries, other types?

And to confirm, you purchased these through your broker and they show up in your account with them online? If so, for each one go to the security detail view in Quicken and click on edit details make sure the "matched with online security" box is checked.

You should also go to Tools > Online Center and select your broker. Click on the holdings tab. Do these bonds show up there? If they are matched with an online security they should and if your broker is sending price updates you would see yesterday's price listed there.

My brokerage only updates Munis monthly. Corporate and Treasury bonds update more frequently.

The bond need to be Matched with online security which sets the CUSIP for the Quicken security to match with the brokerage's version of that security. No need fill in the ticker symbol with the CUSIP.

Still, to your original question, to change the ticker for the bond:

    • Edit security details
    • Change the Security Type for the security to something other than Bond (like Stock)
    • Edit the Ticker Symbol field as desired
    • OK
      • Accept the selection to copy prices to the new ticker
      • I opt to delete the prices from the old ticker.
      • OK
    • Edit security details
    • Change the Security Type for the security back to Bond
    • Make sure all the appropriate bond related parameters returned
    • OK
