Entering a category into Investment transactions

I am a longtime user of Quicken for Windows. Recently my wife started using Quicken for MAC and I'm helping her set it up. Most everything has downloaded without a problem. I find I need to enter a few investment transactions manually. When I open the account and choose Enter Transactions the Category is always BUY and I do not know how to switch it to a dividend of shares. The category Box is gray and does not let me enter any Categories.

What do I do?

Thanks

Investment account transactions are automatically categorized based on the transaction type in the TYPE column. For a dividend you receive as shares I think you would want to set the Type to Stock Dividend.

If you're not seeing the Type column you can enable that by clicking on the Columns button in the lower right corner of the register and checking the box next to Type.

I am looking at the register for the Investment Account I'm trying to add the share dividend. I chose Type in the columns display options by right clicking on the row of column names at the top of the register. I did not see any icon at the bottom. That worked!!

I'm finding the MAC and Quicken User interfaces are quite different
