I have a register/invoicing set up for a Rental Account(s).

Can I ADD another "business" account to which I can create invoices and receive payments separate from my Rental Accounts? I have not zero'd in on a clean way to accomplish that. When I go into my second business register and try to Invoice, It is automatically saved into the Rental Accounts Register.

Thanks for any clues as to how to do this.

    You can have more than one Customer Invoice account register.

    When trying to create a new customer invoice, first select the desired Customer Invoice account register, then select New Customer Invoice from the Actions gear icon(*). I'm not sure if using the Quicken Toolbar "New Invoice" icon prompts you to select from a list of Customer Invoice accounts if you have more than one.

    When receiving a customer payment, work from within the Customer Invoice account. Select the New Customer Payment function to create the new transaction. Check to make sure that the "Deposit to" field points to the correct Business Bank Checking account.

    (*) You can add one-click shortcut icons for each account register's Action Bar, a row of icons in the upper right hand corner of the register view, next to the Actions gear icon. That's handy for icons to create a new Customer Invoice, create new Customer Payment, etc.
    Click the Actions gear icon and select "Customize action bar" to do so.

    Thank you… I kind of stumbled upon the business creation.

    In the process of creating a custom invoice, is there an invoice field that will correspond to the NOTES column in the register? Or can one be directed? The custom invoice creation does not seem to be too configurable or no ability to add a field.

    Notes column: No, not that I know of.
    But you can use the Memo field in the New Customer Invoices dialog. It corresponds to the Memo field in the register.
