Date mismatch

I've recently started using Quicken Classic for Windows. Every day half of my downloaded transactions are matched to older reconciled transactions. When I unmatch them, or change to new, they maintain the old date often 5 months past. This is almost making the product unusable. How can I tell Quicken to use the bank date on all downloads? I have to manually change the date one by one after unmatching each transaction to a previously reconciled date.

I have upgraded to this new subscription based program from Quicken 2007 and downloaded about 6 years of data. All have been categorized. 2007 was working except for the manual entry was too cumbersome so I entered everything manually. I have tried all solutions I could find to no avail. Quicken: Please fix this.

    Please take a look at this setting:
    Edit / Preferences / Downloaded Transactions: Use the date from your financial institution for matched transactions.

    This should set the transaction date in the register to your desired date.

    For recurring transactions for the same payee, Quicken should not try to match a downloaded transaction to a previous instance of the same transaction, especially when the old register transaction has already been marked cleared or reconciled.
    If you use scheduled reminders, IMHO it's best to record a scheduled reminder on or before due date and BEFORE you download transactions which contain payment confirmations for this reminder.
