Cant select auto backup folder on network drive after Windows 10 ->11 update
I had autobackup set to save the backup file to a mapped network drive "Z:", this has worked fine for years. The I updated my PC to Windows 11. Now, when I go to set the backup location, the ONLY locations offered are "Documents: and "\User\<myusername>". It does not even display the other drives on my PC (D:, E: G:) as target folders.
To be clear: I select Edit/Preferences/Backup and click Change backup directory and the dialog displays
Desktop
> Document
> <my user name>
If I select
<my user name>\Nethood, I get this error:
"C:\User\<my user name>Nethood is not accessible
Access is denied"
My question: Should I just uninstall/reinstall Quicken? Is this simple or will I run into problems?
One more thing: If I simply make a backup using the File/copy or Backup File
click Create Backup and Next and then Click Change..
I see all my drives including the network mapped drive.
So I don't see how this is a Windows permission problem. Clearly, the different backup selection types use different code.
Thanks
Hunter

When you upgraded to Windows 11 did it make you set up or turn on OneDrive? See if your Documents folder is listed in the OneDrive section in Explorer. That may be affecting it.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
