For the past 2 weeks or so, every time I download from my bank accounts, Quicken duplicates the last download. This came out of no wherer. Quicken help and my bank coulc not find the issue.

Are you by chance accessing the file from multiple locations, storing the file in the cloud, or opening a copy of your file? Are you being asked to reset the Quicken cloud?

No I don't. I open my bank online and click on download and my previous downloaded entries are duplicated. I saw that other members had the same problem with other banks so may be it's not the bank but a Quicken software issue.
After my transactions are downloaded, I have to screen every entry and look for its duplicate before I can reconcile.
I called Quicken about this but they told me to call my bank.
So I did call my bank's online services and they assured me they had not made any changes on their platform.
So I think it's a Quicken issue. How can this be escalated to Quicken?

Next time you have a duplicate transaction, right click (or control click) on the column headers and turn on the "FITID" column. Compare the value between the two transactions. This is transmitted by the bank and is used by Quicken to determine the uniqueness of the transaction. If the two transactions have different FITIDs, then it's the bank's fault. If they are the same then it's Quicken's fault.

Thank you

Then it's Quicken's fault. The FITIDs are the same. I've already escalated that to Quicken and they told me it was my bank.
What do you suggest?

In fact the downloaded IDs are all the same.

If you are a little bit tech savvy, there's a bit more digging you can do. In the Finder, navigate to (Hard Drive) > Users > (yourmacuserid) > Library > Application Support > Quicken > Logs > OFXLog.txt (If you don't see the Library folder, hold down the Option key while clicking the Go menu in the Finder.)
Open that file in a text editor. This is the log of all the data downloaded from your bank(s). Find a duplicate transaction in your register with a unique amount and search the OFXLog file for that amount (no commas). If you find the transaction with the same FITID multiple times, it means the bank has transmitted it multiple times. With the FITID being the same, Quicken should have recognized the duplicate and not downloaded it (entered it in the register) again. If it only appears once, then even worse, it would appear that Quicken has duplicated the single transmittal. In either case, you can use this evidence when you contact Quicken Support again.
Having said all that, there may be some other reason for duplication that I'm not aware of. Perhaps others will chime in here.
And I will ask again, are you storing your file in the cloud? Where is your file stored.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: I just noticed your profile says "Quicken Windows Subscription". This post is in QMac area. Are you using QWin or QMac. If QWin, then none of what I said above is going to be helpful.

Thanks for the info. I will try that. As to storage, it's on my hard drive. I am somewhat tech savvy but I never liked cloud.
