Maximum data file size?

Hello. Is there a maximum data file size that is recommended? It seems that all of the activities that require syncing (Cloud Syncing, One Step Update, etc.) take longer that they should or eventually hang and I have to force stop Quicken Classic for Windows. For example, today I started a cloud sync at 10:12 AM and it is still going at 12:01 PM. My data file is 247,488 KB.

Should I create a new data file and start from scratch or is there another fix to this?

    Well, that's a pretty big file, but not that big - mine is pushing 500,000 KB. Have you validated your file recently? That would be the first thing to try.

    The size of the data file is not of consequence except in copying it. One of my files is three times the size of yours with no latency issues. Your file is probably corrupt and the validation process would be the first troubleshooting step. However, the best course of action may be to restore a known-good backup data file from before you started to experience the latency.
