Unmatch a security with a greyed out checkbox

How do I unmatch a security with a "matched to online security" that is greyed out? It is a private security that is not supposed to be matched to anything. I never actually matched it — I added it manually but the company has the same name as a public company.

    If the Matched info is 'greyed out', it is not currently matched. What makes you think it is matched?

    If the security has a ticker, particularly one that matches the public company security, change the ticker. I'd also suggest changing the name of your Quicken security so that it is not the same as the publicly traded security.

    Prices are downlaoding every day! That would only happen if it was matched.

    I think I get it. It is not matched, but it still grabbed the online quotes. I changed the symbol (appeneded "-PE") to make sure it no longer matches the public security. That should fix it.

    Agreed, changing the ticker should stop the downloading of prices.
