Express Web Connect + Arbitrarily Inserts Fictitious "Beginning Balance"

When recently updating my Web Connect method to Express Web Connect+, I noticed that Quicken arbitrarily inserted a "Beginning Balance" as the first entry in my register - dated 10 years ago! This overstated my Ending Balance which, of course, did not reconcile to my Online Balance. After a few hours of auditing my register line-by-line against my monthly bank statements (something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy), I subtract the Online Balance from the Ending Balance and then did a register search for the different. Voila! The phantom deposit was sitting on the first line of my register.

    A known and unexplained issue. Something to watch for (though I have not had the issue personally). A common suggestion is to enter the 'correct' opening balance amount in the memo field of that first opening transaction so you can fix the issue readily if it recurs.
