I need some help. My Quicken accounts are totally off.

My Quicken accounts are totally off. Some balances by thousands of dollars. I've found double and triple entries as far back as 2018 in one checking account. And this is in checking, savings and credit accounts. Any one had similar experiences? I've had these problems for some time but life kind of interfered. My wife passed suddenly in July and I had a very serious spine surgery in November and I am just getting back to it.

I know what all the proper account balances are supposed to be. So I am safe in that way but this is not what I have had Quicken for and I have not seen anything like this in all the years I have had Quicken, starting with my Apple //C.

Thank you for any suggestions. They would be most greatly appr4eciated.

I'm operating Windows 11 Pro and Quicken Classic Deluxe.

    Seeing as your errors go back as far as 2018, it would probably be a nightmare trying to correct your data. If you can't restore a known-good backup, I would run a validate and super validate to fix any errors and then reconcile to the latest statements and accept an adjusted balance to get current.

    I thought, originally, that i could just accept an adjusted balance but when I did that the individual accounts would go out of balance again. I will try the validate and super validate and see how that goes.
