How do I set a rule to auto-categorize a transaction based on payee AND account (Q Mac)
I'm fairly new to Quicken Mac, recently converted from Windows. I like it so far, and so I want to get better with the categories and budgeting. I would like to setup rules so that transactions get automatically categorized correctly and there's less work for me to specify or correct the categories. I would like to be able to change the category rule based on what account the transaction appears in. For example:
- payee = walmart AND account = checking - use the category "groceries"
- payee = Walmart AND account = daughter's visa - use the category "daughter spending"
I can't see how this is possible. when I look at the window to setup the rules, it only seems to let me specify the payee, not the account it came from. am I missing somethings? or is there another way to approach this?

It’s not possible right now to have account-specific rules. There is a product idea thread asking for that, you should add your vote by clicking in the little gray box in the first post.
