Tax Schedule Report on Quicken Mac shows incorrect wages on W2

I have been using Quicken for Windows since 1998. Recently, I have started to use Quicken for Mac. (I converted my Quicken date file from Windows to Mac). However, when preparing for my taxes, the Tax Schedule Report on the Mac shows the "Gross" wages on the W2, which it does not deduction the pre-tax deducitons.

When comparing with the Quicken for Windows, the Tax Schedule Report from Quicken for Windows does show the "correct net" taxable amount, which is the gross icome minus the pre-tax deductions.

Is tha the expected behavior of the Quicken for Mac?

The Tax Report isn't going to figure out your W-2 box 1 income for you. All it's doing is listing and adding up the transactions assigned to categories that are associated with tax form lines. Since your paycheck split transactions don't actually have a split line listing your taxable income, and since Quicken Mac doesn't have a W-2 line for taxable income that you could attach to a taxable income category, there's no good way to get that on your tax report.

Probably the best you could do would be to remove the pre-tax split lines from your paycheck split so it started with your taxable income line which you would assign to your paycheck income category. But removing all the pre-tax deductions from Quicken is probably worse than just figuring out your taxable income yourself.

@Jon Thank you for your information. It is weird that the Tax Schedule Report in Quicken for Mac does not work the same as the Tax Schedule Report in Quicken for Windows, which does show the W2 Box 1 income. I wish Quicken for Mac would do the same.
