Target Credit Card - Shows balance due instead of a balance
Quicken shows the register entries in reverse. I have an overpayment of $23.46 for the Target credit card, but Quicken shows the amount due for payment as $23.46. What is going on here?

If your register's Running Balance shows a positive amount, $23.46, I recommend you hold off reconciling and/or worrying about an incorrect next scheduled payment due amount until after you have made enough new transactions to use up the credit balance.
Over the years, I have seen a few discussions here in the Community which report the exact same problem: Quicken can't quite figure out that there is a credit / overpayment balance and how to correctly report it. Usually, the problem goes away as soon as the credit amount has been used up.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I am wondering why Quicken is so dumb that it cannot see an overpayment and report it correctly? BTW: This overpayment is due to a returned item for which the seller issued a credit.
