reconcillation history a total mess

If I delete an individual reconciliation in the reconciliation history, can I redo that entry without all the built-in [Removed- Language] of duplicate transactions with varying unintelligible status? I use Deluxe Mac.

After 31 years using Quicken, I have to ask if there is a simpler alternative for someone who just really wants to track their expenditures over time, for taxes, and simply balance my accounts. I've been fighting with the reconciliation history over the past year, and I don't see a way to resolve the ongoing issue of the Quicken balance being out of whack with the statement balance. Why is this so hard to fix?

    The one time I had a problem with one of my reconciliations getting out of whack & needing to be redone, it just created a cascade of follow-on failures - each month I re-reconciled just caused a problem with the next month's reconciliation which would then need to be redone causing a problem with the month after that, and so on. I ended up deleting all the reconciliations for that account & doing one mass reconciliation from the beginning of the account up through the most recent statement. I haven't had any further problems with reconciling after that.
