Every month I reconcile each of my accounts. When I try to get into my prior reconciliations I can't do it. I select the account that I am trying to get to the historical reconciliations and I then use the Accounts pull down menu, but the Reconciliation History option is grayed out.

I am running Quicken for Mac version 8.4.2

You are correct. I can get the history in my checking account with no problem. It is the investment accounts.

Frankly, the reconciliation in the investment account is only cash, so I really can't understand why the history would not be available. I have used Banktivity and they have not problem providing history on investment history. And I found it very helpful, as on rare occasions I would accidentally some how screw up something in a historical period and the reconciliation histories were a great tool in tracing the problem as if something in a historical period would get out of sync it would show a flag on the previously balanced reconciliation.

So far as reconciling the investment account details, I think you have to look at your accounts and figure out how to do it. Generally if the cash is balanced then any imbalance vs the brokerage statement is probably related to the value of each investment.

    Again, thanks for your help.

Are they investing accounts? The "Reconciliation History" option in the Accounts menu is greyed out for me for those, as is the History button in the Reconciliation window. History seems to be available for Banking accounts, though. I'm not sure if this is a new problem or not, I don't normally try to look at the reconciliation history.

Edit: It's not new for 8.5, I went back to 8.4.2 and it happens there too with Investing accounts. It may be because reconciliation for investing accounts has never been all that thorough since it only covers the cash balance and not your holdings.
