Duplicate transactions being downloaded from Merrill Lynch

I'm running Quicken for Windows R66.23 Build 27.1.66.23. I'm getting duplicate transaction when downloading from Merrill Lynch. Day 1, transactions show as pending on Merrill Lynch's website. Dividend payments are still downloaded by Quicken and the Action Column is labeled DEPOSIT. Day 2, transactions are no longer pending on Merrill Lynches website. Dividend transactions are downloaded by Quicken and the Action Column is labeled DIV. This is resulting in identical transaction being downloaded on two different days with 2 different actions. To resolve I've been deleting the transactions labeled DEPOSIT after the transactions labeled DIV have hit the register. Clearly a bug. Pending transactions should not be downloaded from any financial institution.

Same issue again. This was fixed for awhile, but now we are getting these extra 2 downloads (Credit, Debit) that you have to keep in the register and delete once you ensure you got the matching ReinDiv transaction. It's a lot of extra unnecessary work again.

I have the same issue with Merrill Lynch on 2 different accounts.

Today, March 31, I downloaded 5 copies of identical transactions in my Roth account and 4 copies of identical transactions in my IRA account. My wife's Roth account did not download any duplicate transactions.

I did Restore from Backup 3 times which may have contributed to the problem. After the first download, I changed the action from DEPOSIT to DIV, and all of my transactions in that account disappeared. So I closed Quicken and opened it again and the account was still empty. That was the reason for my first Restore from Backup. I wasn't counting duplicates after each Restore and Download but I had the feeling the number of duplicates was increasing.

This may be a Merrill Lynch issue, or a Quicken issue, or possibly my new computer that I bought during the last Black Friday or a combination of the three. The reason I bring up the new computer issue is that I also get errors in Reports which leave off transactions that are in the Quicken data file. Also sometimes the Date disappears when I modify a transaction. And sometimes cells in Excel (Home version) disappear. Weird stuff.

I have been using Quicken since the early versions in the 1990's so I have a huge data file (384MB+). Maybe this contributes to the problems. I would really like to shrink my data file but I am not sure of the proper procedures on how to save old data in closed accounts into a different file if I delete the old accounts. I am just not sure how to troubleshoot these issues.
