Do you ever feel like you are losing it?

Today OSU downloaded Transitions from Ally and Barclays Banks. Both these Banks connect with EWC+. I do not connect with either Bank when I do my daily OSU. I looked at my OSU connection window…and neither bank is checked to connect. Now I know I am not losing that badly…I mean had I checked them to download…and then unchecked …I would have surely remembered…..

EWC+ has been nothing short troubled with issues….and what is it, 3 years since it was introduced……

    Let me see if I understand you correctly …

    • You do not want to download transactions from Ally and Barclays … ever …
    • To achieve that, you unselected these accounts from OSU Settings
    • But, these accounts, when you look at Edit Account Details / Online Services are still activated for downloading. Correct?

    AFAIK, for as long as the accounts are activated, the Quicken server will pre-download new transactions from the banks and send them to you at your next OSU.

    I would deactivate these accounts, to stop the server from accessing these bank accounts.

    My accts from both Ally and Barclay are activated EWC+.

    When I want to connect with these 2 Banks I will check their Boxes on OSU…and after the OSU is completed… Uncheck them… I know with Certainty, their Boxes were UNchecked when I ran OSU

    My OSU had them Unchecked….yet…..the OSU did download from both these Banks. Perhaps a Glitch…I'll need to give it some time as my activity with these banks is not frequent.

    @UKR , for me it is different. I have one account that I update once every few months maybe due to only a few transactions per month. The account is activated for download but I deselected it in the OSU settings (to reduce overhead perhaps). The transactions do not come thru with any OSU. Rather only if I invoke 'Update now' on the account. Works exactly as I thought it should. Been like this for a year.

    @denmarfl , (not that it matters) Curious, are you sure Ally and Barclay are EWC+? I have one and my in-laws have the other, both EWC. I just tested mine (deactivate & reactivate) and EWC+ was not offered.

    My Bad….Ally and Barclay are Express Web Connect…guess I thought they were EWC+ because they group i together when doing a OSU……

    So there are 1) Web Connect, 2) Express Web Connect and 3) EWC+

    WOW so many connections to Maintain….and there are still banks connecting with DirectConnect, making i4 4 connection types……
