1st Advantage FCU One Step Update Verification

For 2 or 3 days, 1st Advantage FCU requires a verification code (2 step verification) to complete a one step update.

I click on one step update and select update now. Quicken starts the processing and then a popup tells me i need to receive a verification code 1st Advantage FCU will send me. If I enter the code, transactions are down loaded for all accounts,

If I do not enter the code, I receive the transactions from accounts at other facilities but receive an error message for the 1st Advantage FCU accounts.

I am using express .

Thanks

    Hi @Mike_L ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Quicken Community.

To better understand the issue, I have a few questions:

    • Have you enabled two-step authentication on your financial institution’s website?
    • Are you aware of any recent security changes made by the financial institution?
    • What error message do you see if you don’t enter the code?

If you are not sure if the Financial Institution made some changes:

I recommend following the steps below:

    1. Sign in to your financial institution's website.
    2. Navigate to the page where you view your account information.
    3. When you encounter the new web page that requires your response, fill out the requested information and dismiss the screen. If you have the option to not display the page or ask you again, select that option. If you do not, the error may continue to occur.

Note: Some financial institution websites may have this new security requirement located in your inbox or message center.

I look forward to your reply.

I went to the FCU settings and selected SECURITY. It showed me that Quicken was authorized, but a second entry showed in red, indicating a warning for Quicken. I clichéd on the red entry and was taken to a selection page. It required an entry of either get a text message or get an email message for a code. I selected text and pressed next. I received a code, entered it, and pressed next. I then exited the bank site and ran Quicken. Transactions came down as they were supposed to.

    Thanks for the help

Still working like it is supposed to.

Perhaps it was just the FCU periodically reaching out for a verification.

Hopefully, I can remember to make my first stop, if this happens again, to be the credit union's security page on their website.

    Thanks again
