  I have that error also and it is non-disruptive for me. That particular file has its roots going back 25+ years. Troubleshooting it, the only way I could clear it was to copy a new data file. However…

  I am not experiencing any issues with Quicken connections. The servers are not offline.

  Pull down the File menu and select New Quicken File… . This will create a separate data file for your wife's accounts.

  Is this what you're looking for? Create/Edit your bill reminder and set the estimate to be the Current credit card balance.

  Yes. You just can't have the program access the data file on the "cloud" server. You will have to download it to your local drive first.
