I have the same issue.. a black window appears saying something about the filter view, the trick I found is to generate the Payment/deposit transfer from my Bank cash account instead of from the Brokerage account, there is a thread here about this, no resolution found... yet... maybe next build/update of QM2015

The "black window" has the following text:

Transaction Recorded - The transaction is not shown in this filtered view

This is to inform you that you currently have filters enabled that exclude the transaction you added or edited from being displayed. The solution is to change or remove the filters you have set.
The filters are a row of four buttons near the top of the register, below the account name. The right-most button says Reset Filters. So, either change the filters so that your transaction will be within the filter settings, or click on Reset Filters.

As to why the payment is not deducted from your cash balance:
There are two possibilities that come to mind:
    1. There currently, in V2.2 of Q2015, is a bug where the Balance column does not update when you add/edit transactions. You can compensate for this by clicking on the Date column's header twice (this reverses the sort order twice and as a byproduct, causes the Balance column to be re-calculated).
    2. Q2015 is compensating for transactions you are adding so as to maintain its idea of what the correct current balance should be. Use the Search the community... search box at the top of the page and search for "balance adjustment" and "Starting balance" to learn more.

Thanks, but I did try with the filters, in the Brokerage account and in the Bank cash account, the filter is set to All dates, any type and any status, resetting does not show the transactions I input
for the balance adjustment I did try as well

the transaction just disappears when entered in the Brokerage account, but is OK if entered in the Bank Cash account it shows then in both accounts

    Thanks for your suggestions

A couple of things to try (to see what happens):

    1) in the Brokerage account: duplicate the transaction (use the "Duplicate Transaction" command from either Quicken's Transactions menu, or the transaction's context menu). Does this duplicate transaction also disappear like a manually entered one does?

    2) in the Brokerage account: manually enter a transaction that is an exact copy of the transaction you entered in the bank cash account (every field exactly the same) as seen from the Brokerage account register. Does this transaction disappear?

    3) An inspiration after trying #2:
    a) Add a transaction in your bank cash account that will get the funds transferred to your brokerage.
    b) Add a transaction in your brokerage account that (like #2) exactly copies the transaction from step 3a) as seen from the brokerage account. If done right, when you type in the Payee, the rest of the fields should auto-fill.
    Does this transaction disappear?

    4) What happens if in the brokerage account you edit one of the transfers from your bank? Do this modified transaction stick around or disappear?

OK.   have tried all of these work arounds and/or tricks -- trying to get this 2017 Q for Mac to work -- and the disappearing transactions are  still NOT there.  This is a major bug.

    Squadleader:

I don't think this is a (major) bug. Perhaps a poor design. But so far, there has been nothing to demonstrate an actual bug.

    Suggestions

    1) for each of the previous suggestions (both mine and others) in this thread: what exactly is happening in your case? What are you seeing? Is the cash balance changing - In the checking account? - In the investment account? Please describe for each test that you have made, along with the details of the test. Is your net worth changing? Is the Banking group balance changing? Is the Investing group balance changing?

    2) If you were to make a screen recording video (using Quick Time Player) (or a series of screenshots) of exactly what you are doing, that might help.

    3) A description of your accounts setup would help.

Overall, in trying to troubleshoot this problem, anyone but you is at a distinct disadvantage, since we have no knowledge of your environment, what you hope to accomplish, how you are going about your tasks, ... So it is very helpful the more detail provided. Try to paint a picture for those trying to help.

Finally, it may be easier to contact Quicken Support. They should be able to guide you thru troubleshooting step by step. http://quicken.com/contact-support

And a suggestion for the future: it is best when seeking help here in the Quicken Community Support forum that you start a new posting rather than piggybacking on another discussion - especially a 2-year old discussion.

Original post is over 3 years old, and not likely to get a lot of visibility. Creating a new conversation so this topic gets the visibility ands ttention is deserves.
