I setup a new security which I see in my security list (through the "Investing" tab). When creating transaction using this security, I do not see the security among the security list to choose from.

    Hi Richard,

I'm sorry for the trouble you are having with this security. To help us provide the most appropriate response, please let us know which Quicken product (QWin or QMac) and what version (2016, 2017, etc.) you are using. Also, are you using the US version of Quicken or Quicken Canada?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Check Security List. Is new security marked as hidden? Is it marked as "Stock" (not "Market Index")?

In that case, please tell us what you're doing and show us what you're seeing when the problem shows up.

    Can you please
capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken screen showing the
issue, redacted as necessary to protect your privacy, and attach the image(s)
    here?

    The Windows Snipping
Tool (available with Windows 7 and up) can be used to capture a partial screen
image and save it to a file.

    To take a screenshot
    in Mac please see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361

    Please create image
files of type PNG, JPG or BMP only.

    To attach the image
here, start composing your response. At the bottom of the text entry window
    you'll see a row of icons beginning with B I U S

    Click the camera
icon (not the video camera icon). It will allow you to select and upload the
captured image file from your computer. The captured image will be inserted at
wherever the cursor is located in the text.

    Shots in the dark:
    • Reduce the length of the name.
    • Change the security type to Mutual Fund
    • It appears you have two similar or identical securities (IYY and IYY.DG), neither of which appear in the pull-down list.  Eliminate (if possible) one or both and recreate one at a time.
