QWin 2017: New account not displayed

I added a new security in my quicken account However  it is not displayed in the std investing screen. However the holding tab displays the security as well as the total is displayed correctly.

I never had this problem with Quicken 2014 but 2017 has never worked properly.

I am not sure what "std investing screen" refers to, but I suggest you look at the customizations for that screen and make sure all applicable accounts and securities are included in that screens customization.  While Quicken often takes the path to automatically add in new holdings, that is not an absolute rule; sometimes it is desirable, sometimes not.
