Stock Prices failed to download and bank update failed to update
I am using the Canadian Version of Quicken 2015 R3 (24.1.3.6) and am running Windows 10 -1703 running 64 bit.
I looked on the Quicken site and it seemed to suggest that I may need to install a patch. I downloaded it and tried to install but got the following error message.
'Index and length must refer to a location within the string
Parameter name length
Not sure who thought up this error message but it is meaningless to me.
Anybody have any idea how I can get my stock quotes updated and my bank transactions updated.
Thanks.
Bob

@Robert: While Dan is correct that the linked article is the normal solution to this issue, you are the third Canadian user to post this problem in the last couple days. That unusual. What is also unusual is that at least one of the other two users tried the recommended solution and it did NOT fix the problem. Hence, I'm suspicious that something else is at play for Canadian users and that something came into effect just recently. I suggest you try the link that Dan recommended; however, if it doesn't work for you (and there is now some precedence that it won't work), then you should contact support. [removed]0

Just tried the changing the administrator and as you surmised it didn't work. I tried the link you posted but got a 'page not found'. Any other suggestions?
Many thanks.

Hello Robert,

@Edgardo: The fix method in the link you provided is the same fix that @Dan posted above. Bob claims to have tried that fix and claims it did not work for him. Odd. It seems that Official fix works 50% of time... if everyone is following the instructions correctly (and being honest about what they have tried). The fact that it worked for some users but not for others just muddies the waters.Hello Robert,

[removed] I will see if I can try the fix again. I I thought I followed all the instructions but I will see if I can try it again tomorrow.
Thanks again for you help

I tied the new user process again and it worked this time. Not sure what I didn't do correctly the first time but the upgrade seemed to have worked and all the features that weren't working appear to be.
Thanks again for your assistance.
