quicken 2016 no longer printing checks

here I go again. I am using quicken 2016 home and business on windows 10. a few weeks ago I was able to print checks, and yesterday I can't. I checked for updates and I have the most up to date version. I can print my ledger and reports but can't print checks. I have the same printer setup for all of my printing in quicken. I checked the print queue and it is empty, so nothing is jamming it up. I get no error message(s). it goes through the process of printing the checks, updates the ledger and the next check number, but nothing happens at the printer. restarted computer as well as printer and the same result, reports print but no checks print.

Hi Ken.
Sorry that you are having issues printing..
Here is some information that should help you with your printing issues:
How to Repair Printer Setup:
Try resetting your printer definitions in Quicken and then redefine the printer:
For Quicken for Windows versions 2009 and older:- Please review this article, especially the part about replacing the WPR.DAT file: https://www.quicken.com/support/message-unable-verify-active-printer-system-level
In some stubborn cases with HP printers, you may have to try and install an older, more generic printer driver. Explanations and a link can be found here:
https://www.quicken.com/support/not-able-print-quicken-using-windows-7 - Now set up your printer again, as described below.
- Click File / File Operations / Validate and Repair. Click "Reset Quicken Printer Settings", then click OK.
- Close and restart Quicken (might not be necessary, but it can't hurt)
- Now set up your printer (see below)
- In Quicken click File / Printer Setup / For Printing and visit all selections as needed
(a) for Reports,
(b) for Checks,
(c) for Invoices [Quicken H&B, RPM users only]
and define your printer.
Respectfully,
~ Quicken Harold.Quicken Harold
