I can't find the correct symbols to enter Wells Fargo PN shares. Bank of America ws BAC_PD for thier preferred D shares but WFC_PN doesn't work for Wells Fargo.

Try WFC-N or WFC-P.  The hyphen seems to be the current preference.

When trying to add this security in Quicken, try the Security Lookup function. I get 35 hits with the name Wells Fargo in it.

The security name as shown in Quicken dialogs may not be exactly equal to the name your brokerage shows.

What is your exact security name?
    WFC.PR.P
WELLS FARGO CO NEW DEP1/1000PF CL A
        NYSE
    Depositary Receipt
    or
    WFC.PR.N
WELLS FARGO CO NEW DEP SHS REPSTG 1
    NYSE
    Depositary Receipt

WFC-P or WFC-N, respectively, should be the symbol to use in Quicken. If the security name doesn't show correctly, edit the entry manually.

Try "WFCPrN", which was found in the prospectus for the security on WFC's website.    https://www.wellsfargo.com/about/investor-relations/preferred-stock/

That symbol should also have been available on your broker's statement.

WFC-N worked for me when I was trying to create the security in my test file
