When downloading Portfolio View to a CSV file, it always shows the transaction detail. Is there a way for the CSV file to show just one line per security, without the detail? Quicken for Mac, version 5.6.3

No, unfortunately, there isn't. However, the product manager has acknowledged that the export should probably contain what's in the current screen display (not more, nor less). Hopefully that will be coming in a near-term update.

In the mean time, here's a workaround:

In Excel or Numbers, add a column at the end with sequence numbers starting at 1 and ending with the number of lines in the spreadsheet. Then sort by the first column, which will put all the lines that start with dates at the top. Use shift-click to select all these lines and delete. Then re-sort by the column you added to restore the original order. Finally, delete the sequence number column.

It's a bit of a pain, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
