I still have this bond labeling problem with Quicken 2019 for the Mac. One of the bond funds I imported from Quicken 2007 is being treated as a bond, and there doesn't seem to be any way to change the type of investment to a mutual fund. If there is a solution, it would be great to hear it. The link above did say this was fixed in the 2018 release, but it still appeared for one of my bond mutual fund. A couple of others look to have been imported correctly as mutual funds. Strange.

If I understand correctly this should work: Go to Window>Securities. Highlight the bond fund and click the edit symbol. In the dialog you should be able to change it from Bond to Mutual Fund. If you are looking for a Bond Fund category that's a different question. Personally, I think there should be more category choices.
