Deleting old funds In IRA's on the "Investing" screen

There are several old mutual funds (zero balance) on my IRA accounts.  I'd like to delete them but error message say no because I have transactions against them.  So I tried deleting all the old transactions and that still doesn't work.  It keeps one "place holder" transaction in place on the Investing screen and nothing further showing on the Transaction screen to delete.

    To access placeholders in the investment register, check Show hidden transactions in the Investment transactions preference: select Edit > Preferences...



    You should then be able to select and delete the placeholder transactions in the register.
