Need 2 quicken files on the mac

I maintain multiple quicken files to separate my investments from my operating account (not something I can change). Works fine in windows. I am converting to Quicken for Mac. The first file was created fine but when I try to bring in another file, it wants to merge it in with the existing file. I want them to be separate. Can I do this?

Yes. Do not use the File > Import menu. Instead, click menu File > New. When the dialog comes up, choose "Start from a Quicken for Windows file".Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s2
