Quicken file locked

My subscription to Quicken Mac just renewed and now my Quicken file is locked. It will not recognize my password or any of my previous passwords. I tried opening a backup file and Quicken will not recognize the password for it either. This happened once before and I had to send the file to Quicken for them to remove the password and I do not want to go through that again. Has anyone else had this happen to the them and if yes, how was the problem resolved.

    If your issue regards the Quicken ID password, you can fix this issue through our website at http://www.quicken.com/my-account.

    If your issue regards a Data File password issue, you would need to contact Quicken Support so that the file can be submitted to our support team to have the password removed. Unfortunately, there really is no self-remedy unless you remember the password or entered a clue when you setup the Data File password.
