Has anyone utilized the _QualDivInc where it reflects correctly on the built in schedule B? On multiple separate files new and old these transactions appear under the INTEREST section and not a DIVIDENDS section.

With QW2017, if I switch a Div from DivInc to MiscInc with _QualDivInc as the category, I see the change you refer to -- the income for the transaction switches from the Taxable Div portion of the report to the Taxable Income portion of the report. That would not be correct.
I have not found the _QualDivInc to flow directly from any transactions, so I do not rely on or use that category. I suspect it may only be more applicable to Tax Planning modules.
The category is linked to "Schedule B: Qualified Dividend"
Edit: The change does get properly handled on the Tax Schedule Report.7
