Can't enter password longer than 10 characters

I recently updated my passwords for my credit cards and bank accounts to longer, more secure passwords (16 characters long), only to find out that Quicken for Mac will not allow me to enter passwords longer than 10 characters. This seems a bit odd, as I've seen in other posts that it's supposed to handle passwords of up to 32 characters. How do I fix this? I'm really don't want to go back to shorter passwords, because that makes my accounts less secure, but I don't want to lose the automatic download of transactions from these accounts either. Is there a workaround to this? It seems like a pretty big design flaw to me. And if there is no workaround, when will it be fixed?
I'm using the latest version of Quicken for Mac - Version 5.11.0 (Build 511.25626.100), on macOS 10.14.3.

Unless your bank's configuration with Quicken specifically restricts Quicken to 10 characters, 16 characters should work. I don't know about > 16 characters, though.
If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review a download log file on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.
