Is there anyway to see capital gains/losses for the year or past years by account or security as you can in quicken for windows?

You can use QMac's Tax Schedule Report for this purpose.
Customize the date range as desired.
Also, in the Customize dialog, under Categories, clear all categories. The resulting report includes only capital gains and eliminates all the other tax related info.

I have saved a customized version of the report for just this purpose - what are my capital gains for a particular time period?
