Why do my invesment dividends appear as negative numbers?

Investment dividends are showing up in my accounts as negatives. Can I fix this or is it coming from my broker?

    If you are downloading transactions then these are coming from your broker.

    Are you short the underlying security?  If so they you have to pay the dividend (i.e. negative) instead of receiving the dividend when you are long.
