Paying Bills, eBills & Scheduled Transactions (Mac)
Entering a transaction
Neil Leifert
I have an odd issue that I cannot resolve. When I enter a payment for "Brad" in my checking account, it automatically registers in the cash account as a credit from"Brad". This ONLY happens with "Brad". No other payment simultaneously records as a credit in Cash. Why is this occurring?

Click On "Columns" at the lower right and you can check that column there.
If you are getting an equal and opposite transaction in another account, then it indeed is a transfer-so that should get you going.

Likely because Brad gave you some $ in the past, and you have it set up as a Transfer.
Make sure the Transfer column is visible, and clear out the other account's name from that field. That is what is causing it to show a transfer between cash and checking accounts.

Thank you, John, but I do not recall setting this up as a transfer and, in fact, none of the "Brad" transactions shows as a transfer. In any case, how do I make the Transfer column visible?
