I'm adding two accounts for a non-profit I manage. One is Bell Bank and the other is American State Bank, both in ND. I need to go back to 1/1/18 but only got the most recent transactions.

Your FI or bank controls how far back you can download. Most only go back 90 days. The rest you will have to enter manually. You might get a greater range of transactions if you go to your financial institution's website and download a different range of dates in a Web Connect .QFX file. If you manually enter older transactions, be sure to adjust the opening balance to account for them as you enter them.See this FAQ on downloading older transactions,

Typically banks will not download more than 3 to 6 months. Some do more, some do less. The only way to go back further than that is to get you statements and enter all of the transactions manually.

Thank you!! I got lucky - both banks support QFX downloads and allowed the entire account to transfer that way.2
