Cannot add Category to budget list

I added a category to the category list. I then went to planning and tried to add the category to my current budget. The category that I added did not appear in the categories to budget list so I could not account for it. What am I missing?

    Try to go to "Planning tab", then at the bottom left, you click on "Select categories to budget". In the next window, select " Show hidden categories". Maybe you will see your new category. Give me a feedback, if you don't see your account. Good luck.

    I didn't but I did find it elsewhere. Just to tell more details, I set up , Using the "tools tab" a subcategory under "Personal Income" overall category and under the category "Other Inc". When I looked at it under the "Planning tab" and selected "Categories to Budget" it did not appear under "Personal Income" "Other Inc". It did appear under "Income" "Other Income" Not sure what caused that. Hope all can understand this.
