Why does my screen appearance and prooduct functionality suddenly change?
This waste screen real estate (the column for payee entry is now about 1 inch wide) and I am accustomed to categorizing AFTER I enter the amount.
Quicken Tech Support had me uninstall the program, run something called Qclean and then reinstall. Didn't do a thing. So they suggested I do it again. The definition of insanity is….
Does anyone have any suggestions as to (a) how this happened?; and (b) what I can do to resolve the issue? TIA!

Was one of the changes from a 1 line display to 2 lines? You can also change from a 1 line display to a 2 line display or back. To change to 2 line display, go to the register you want to change and select "Account Actions". Then enable Two-line display. Or there is a shortcut (Ctrl + 2) which toggles the setting. This only works for non-investment accounts.
To change the columns, To add or remove columns to the register
Select "Account Actions"
Select "Register Columns..."
Or in newer versions you can click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the account register to get a list of available columns. Click to put a checkmark in the missing column(s). (Also explore the new columns, added to your version of Quicken, if they might be helpful for your needs.)I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
