Corrupt file?

I tried to open Quicken 17 today and it would crash before getting to the home page. I then upgraded to the recent version. Same problem. I then went and opened with an 2 1/2 year-old back up, which opened, and so I tried to restore from recent back-up, but after it went through the process it crashed right away again. I am afraid I have a corrupt data file - anyone know if how to check and/or fix?

File>File Operations>Validate will check and repair some data file corruption. You can also run a Super Validate by holding Ctrl while performing the same steps mentioned, which is said to perform more in depth error checking and recovery.
