Recording Dividend In Kind

Hello,
Recently one security I own paid a dividend in kind, in particular, they are distributing among-ts shareholders the shares of wholly owned subsidiary.
Should I use the spin-off dialog box?
I would very much appreciate helpful insight in what is the best way to record this in Quicken.
Thanks!!

For me, it would all depend on how they are going to report it at end of year. If it shows up as 1099-Div income,I would record it in Quicken as a Dividend and a buy. It is also possible they may construe it as a non-taxable 'dividend' in which case the Stock Spinoff would likely be more appropriate.
Identify the companies and I'll try to take a look at what they have said.6
