Can I restore Quicken XG backup to the current Quicken Starter?
pwong406
I'm finally getting rid of my XP machine and going to start a subscription for the Quicken Starter, can I just backup my Quicken XG and restore to Quicken Starter? Is there any special conversion process required? Thanks

Probably not. You could try using the sequence in this article:
Convert Data from an Earlier version of Quicken
No guarantees.

Thanks for the suggestion splasher, since XG is running on an XP machine, can I install 2004 on an XP machine? If not, you think I can install 2004 on the new Windows 10 machine and restore the backup from XG then continue the upgrade path on the Win 10 machine?

QW2004 should run on XP just fine. QW2013 might also, but that I'm less sure of.

Thanks, I will give it a try and see how it goes.
