9/11/19 - How long does an update to Quicken take?

Trying to open Quicken - getting "A scheduled update is running" for over 2 hours today. This is unsatisfactory!! What's going on? Rebooted the computer and no help.

    Thanks for the advice. Called Quicken Help and she sent a code followed by a reboot and it cleared the hangup. I'll keep your ideas in my pocket for the future.

    Are you saying that, after you rebooted Windows, another Scheduled Update started to run and it's also hung up?
    Have you recently enabled a VPN on your computer? If so, turn it off to see if that helps.
    Have you recently updated Windows 10?
    Check if Windows Defender feature Ransomware protection is now enabled.
    If it is, configure it to add Quicken as an "allowed app" without turning off Ransomware protection:
