Quicken for Mac - Why can't you link Cash Account to Investment Account like Windows 2017 allows?

I'm a mac user, but have to use Quicken for Windows 2017 using Parallels to run it. We have investment and linked cash accounts, but can't seem to get the same solution for Quicken for Mac. Why doesn't it allow you to separate Investment and linked Cash Accounts, just like Windows version?

Short answer? It isn't offered at this time. But, that doesn't mean you can't enter your cash transactions in your investment account.
You can choose to show columns such as Check #, Action, Category, etc. so that your investment register has these cash register fields available. You can even write (print) checks from within your investment register. The main difference is the transaction "Type" will be Payment/Deposit. Then, the transaction will be a plain old cash transaction affecting the cash balance.
You can also reconcile you cash balance.5
