Category Summary Report when downloaded to CSV contains Detail and shouldn't

Hello, all! I have Quicken Deluxe 2019 (v 5.12.5). I'm trying to create a Report and that part works fine. It's when I import it to a CSV file that I run into problems. I'm going to Report / Category Summary. Then in the "Update view to show me..." box I'm selecting "A summary of all categories." The report than shows me exactly what I want. Then when I select the Export CSV box, it shows all of the detail for each category. (So Auto:Gas will show every time I bought gas. All I want is the total amount I spent on gas). Based on what I'm trying to do, which is to review expenses for the last 12 months, this creates a lot of extra work to delete all the detail lines when all I want is the summary of the category. Is there a way around this? I've tried everything so my apologies if this is something simple I should have noticed or if it's answered elsewhere and I couldn't find it. Thank you for your help!
