I need to convert a Quicken Mac 2007 data file to Quicken Mac 16.

Need to keep the current Mac 16 data file separate from the one that I going to convert from 2007. I read that I can do it if I use Mac 13 as a temporary landing site. Is there a free version of 13 that I can use?

To get your Mac 2007 data file into Q Mac 2016 (or newer) please follow @John_in_NC 's instructions.Note that any Mac 2007 - related file conversion tasks must be done before you upgrade your Mac OS to Catalina!5

In 2016, File:New and create a new file selecting the option to convert from 2007.(This will leave your existing file(s) (including your 2007 file) untouched)
2016 will convert 2007 files directly. You do not need an intermediary version.
You can use File:Open Recent to go back and fourth between your various files0 -
