How do you set an investment for a startup company that has no brokerage?

The investment section to add an account does not seem to allow for investments for new startups.

To clarify, the sequence is
Add the security. If it is not publicly traded, do not give it a ticker.
Add Account
Pick Brokerage
Click on Advanced Setup at the bottom
Select I want to enter my transactions manually
and follow the directions from there. You can call the accoutn "My Startups" or whatever.

You can always setup a manual brokerage account and track any investment, with or without a ticker symbol. Look at the setup dialog when creating the investment account. It will state "... click here...".
