I use to have a person do the installing and setting up - but now I have to do it all myself and have to get everything entered since January and I am at a lost. Please help me now and also would like to be able to download my bank info to make it easy for me. It will have to start at January 1, 2019

Well, your 1st problem is that a transaction download, originated from within Q, usually only goes back 30-90 days. You'd need to go to each of your bank/card/brokerages/etc and see if they permit a longer download (via Web Connect) when initiated from their respective websites.See this FAQ re: downloading older transactions: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7160091/faq-download-old-transactions

What version do you have? Like Quicken 2017, 2019 etc. We assume you are on Windows. Did you get the program installed ok? Do you have a prior data file you want to continue in?
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
