Why won't Quicken 2017 for Mac sync to the mobile app?

I am new to 2017, and Q support told me that even though I don't care about online banking per se, the mobile app would be useful for checking or editing transactions, so he advised getting it. I did, but when I try to sync some of the accounts, I get a message saying that connection to the Q servers failed and to try again later. Later doesn't help. Same thing. Can someone tell me how to fix this, or should I call tech support again?

If you wish to use Mobile, then yes, it would probably be wise to contact support again. They have the tools (including the ability to mirror your screen) that are better suited to assist you. Fellow users such as myself really aren't able to help much in cases like this.
Or, if you really don't care about Mobile, then you can choose to disable it in Preferences.5
