How to move Quicken 2015 Release R17.4 to New Dell Win 10 PC

I purchased Quicken years back via DVD. We moved and have no idea what happened to that CD or DVD?? I have Quicken 2015 Home & Business Release R17.4 on existing older HP laptop Win 10. Have to move to my new Dell Win 10 PC. What do I need to do to get software moved to Dell PC. I understand how to move the data file but my issue is how can I get the Quicken 2015 sofware since no lnonger have DVD. Thank you, Grace [personal data removed] cell

You need the Quicken 2015 installation media (CD or downloaded installation file) to install Quicken on a new PC. You can't copy the Quicken software from one PC to another. You could probably purchase a copy of Quicken 2015 H&B on Amazon or eBay. Just make sure they're a legitimate seller.

You can't move, but should do Manual Backup of your Quicken Data File to external Device like a Thumbnail Flash Drive, or to a Common Mapped Hard Drive.

Also if you do move the files, as you suggested, it might be possible, however I never tried it.

This is a list of Folders, from when Quicken 2015, first came out.

C:Program Files (x86)Quicken

C:ProgramDataIntuit

C:UsersUserIDAppDataRoamingIntuit

C:UsersUserIDAppDataLocalIntuit

C:UsersUserIDAppDataLocalIntuit_Inc

And you might find C: ProgramDataQuicken as well.

Create an Rar or Zip File of all folders and contents.

Unzip the File on the New Computer to the same location.

Go to: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html
Scroll down until you see Quicken 2015
Download: Release 17.4 Mondo

Right click on the File and run as Administrator to install.

This procedure may or may not work.

Thank you for the responses. Since the move to new PC needs a DVD to reinstall will purchase a legal copy of latest Quicken Home and Business and install on the new Dell PC. During the move in recent months, the 2015 Quicken DVD was lost and thus no way to move the software to the new Dell PC. Thank you again for your inputs. From Grace
